<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a noise band from generating at the time of playback at high speed a magnetic tape recorded by a recording device having four rotary heads by travelling the magnetic tape with an odd number-fold speed >=4 times a stationary speed. CONSTITUTION:At the time of high speed playback, in order to playback at an even number-fold speed >=4 times the regular speed, for example, at the 4-fold speed of the regular speed, a signal switching device 39 is switched to a high speed terminal 39b by a speed signal (i), and a signal obtained by fequency-dividing a control signal from a control pulse processing circuit 19 into 4 with a frequency-divider 37 is inputted to a servo circuit 18. Thus, a motor 34 is controlled with a motor dividing circuit 20 so that a capstan motor 34 can be rotated at the 4-fold speed of the regular speed. As a result, rotary heads L and R scan a video track at every 8 tracks, only a track recorded by a pair of rotary heads out of two pairs of four rotary heads used at the time of recording is scanned, therefore, the generation of the noise band is prevented.</p> |
