Housing having two parts (10, 12) which can be put together along two corresponding mounting edges (14, 16) with profiles (18, 26) which complement each other, furthermore having fastening clamps (56) which are mounted spaced apart in order to hold the two assembled parts in place. One of the housing parts contains a socket (58, 60) which is fitted at one side of a support edge (54) in order to make it possible to introduce a holding element (110) of the clamps (56) and subsequently to prevent this holding element from being pulled out and hence to avoid any inadvertent loss of the clamps. <IMAGE>
