The invention relates to an objective having telecentric beam path, comprising 12 optical elements which are combined in eight groups and constructed from known, conventional types of glass. The objective has a short constructional length, images an object field of 30 mm which is telecentrically illuminated with an aperture of 0.18 onto a field of 2G = 46@ and is corrected for the visual spectral range. Thus, a lens of this type is particularly suitable for planetariums. <IMAGE>
