CONTROLLABLE FLUIDIZED-BED COMBUSTION UNDER PRESSURE

A fluidized-bed combustion process controllable under pressure is disclosed. Heat exchangers located in the fluidized-bed combustion chamber are very vulnerable to erosion or abrasion due to the flue-dust contained in the flue gas. This new fluidized-bed combustion process does not include a thermal exchange in the combustion chamber, although the reaction conditions remain the same. At least one controllable line (35) for returning to the combustion chamber (21) part of the flue gas, if necessary cooled by heat exchangers (36, 37) arranged in various ways outside the combustion chamber, branches out from the flue gas line (26) downstream from a dust-separator (27) arranged on the flue gas line (26) after the fluidized-bed combustion chamber (21). The main area of application is the production of electric energy and heat from the production of steam, either as long-distance or as process heat by means of a controllable fluidized-bed combustion under pressure.
