A hook-shaped pasture-fence insulator has a screw thread at one end and the insulator head as the other end, which is bent off in the form of a U. A housing (40) can be pushed onto the insulator head, an annular groove of the insulator head being guided in a wide slot (54), and the U-shaped rod of the insulator being guided in an opposite, narrow slot (52), of the housing (40). A connection stub (34) with a polygon socket (34) is welded on the rear end wall (50) of the housing (40), the axis of the polygon duct (36) being in alignment with that of the screw thread of the insulator. The insulator can be rapidly screwed in and unscrewed without any damage by means of a bit brace. <IMAGE>
