PURPOSE:To increase the speed of the moving and positioning of a magnetic head device by changing driving power fed to a stepping motor together with the variation of the acceleration of a moving and positioning mechanisms by the stepping motor. CONSTITUTION:The driving power of a stepping motor is also increased in response to the augmentation of the magnitude of the acceleration of a magnetic head device in sections A, C in which the magnitude of the acceleration of the magnetic head device augments. Driving power is also reduced in sections A3, C3 in which the magnitude of acceleration is lowered. Driving power takes fixed values corresponding to each acceleration of sections A2, B, C2 in the sections A2, B, C2 in which acceleration is kept constant. Accordingly, large driving force is not generated unnecessarily in the stepping motor, and the vibrations of the magnetic head device with driving force can be inhibited to a minimum. |
