The invention relates to a spot-type disc brake, especially for motor vehicles, with a fixed brake anchor plate, to which a brake calliper is connected in axially displaceable fashion by at least one guide pin, the guide pin serving as a pivot for the brake calliper and, after being pivoted out, the brake calliper being secured against falling out unintentionally by a retaining device in the region of a guide eye of the brake calliper and a projection on the brake calliper.
