PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity, the graininess and the sharpness of the tiled material by composing a silver halide particle contd. in a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer of monodispersive tabular particles having >=2 kinds of different mean particle sizes. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide particle contd. in the photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer is composed of the monodispersive tabular particles having >=2 kinds of the different mean particle sizes respectively. In case of the emulsion layer being mounted on both sides of a supporting body, respectively, in the characteristic curve expressed a rectangular co-ordinates of an optical density and an exposure, the gamma value of the titled material constituted of 0.25 point of the sum of fogging and optical density and 1.25 point thereof is specified to 2.2-2.8. In case of the emulsion layer being mounted on only one side of the supporting body, the gamma value of the titled material consisting of 0.2 point of the optical density and 1.25 point thereof is specified to 1.3-2.2, thereby obtaining a preferable characteristic curve. Thus, the sensitivity, the graininess and the sharpness of the titled material are improved. |
