摘要 PURPOSE: To reduce the size of device constitution and to prevent the generation of noise by changing the wavelength of light projecting from a light source in accordance with specific positions to be occupied by the two-dimensional(2D) graphics of respective cross sections of a three-dimensional(3D) image projecting to a screen in the depth direction of the 3D image. CONSTITUTION: The wavelength of light to be used for successively displaying 2D graphics on a screen S is determined so that respectively different cross sections of a 3D image to be displayed on the screen S are indicated and 2D graphics successively formed by light having respectively different wavelength bands are respectively displayed on the positions of prescribed cross sections of the 3D image displayed on space. The wavelength of light flux generated from a light source PS capable of generating light of variable wavelength and the cross sectional positions of 2D graphics of the 3D image which are projecting from a 2D graphic projector IDA to the screen S are determined to prescribed values based upon the determined wavelength. Consequently a large screen can be constituted without using any mechanical movable part and the generation of noise can be prevented.
