<p>A ball-striking device, in particular a tennis or squash racket (10), has a shaft (12) with a grip (11) and a head secured to the shaft (12), with a crown (16) that delimits a striking surface, in particular a netting (15), formed by longitudinal (22) and transverse (23) strings of plastic material, gut or the like that extend parallel and transversely to the longitudinal axis (19) of the shaft. In order to dampen the vibrations and to enlarge the sweet spot (18) asymmetrically, the head crown (16) has two branches (27, 28) of different lengths with respect to the longitudinal axis (19) of the shaft, arranged in such a way that the longest longitudinal string (20) is laterally offset with respect to the geometric longitudinal axis (19) of the shaft.</p> |
