The bolt switch contact (1) serves for monitoring the bolt position of a lock bolt (15), door bolt or the like and works contactlessly with a reflection-light barrier, the bolt (15) to be monitored serving as a reflector. The bolt switch contact (1) is arranged in the region of the striking plate (10) in the door frame, so that, with the bolt (15) extended (when the lock is opened), the light barrier is interrupted and, with the bolt (15) retracted, is closed when the transmitted light beam is reflected from the bolt (15) to the receiver. <IMAGE>
