When the lubrication system fails, gearwheels (1) run dry, become hot and are destroyed mechanically. This time period can be extended by the use of a collecting container (4) in which oil splashed around during normal operation is collected and dispensed in a metered way to the gearwheels (1). This time period shall be extended by the new lubrication device. For this purpose, a fuse designed as a fuse ring (7, 7') is arranged in an annular groove (8, 8') of the gearwheel (1), the fuse ring (7, 7') melting at increased temperatures of the gearwheel (1) caused by a lack of lubricating oil and being passed via connecting lines (12) to the toothed rim (10) of the gearwheel (1) and lubricating the latter. <IMAGE> |
