VALVE SUPPORT ARRANGEMENT FOR PRESSURE IN A NUCLEAR POWER PLANT

In a pressurized water nuclear reactor power plant, a support arrangement (50) for steam discharge valves (14-18, 32-36) for connection to nozzles in the head of a pressurizer vessel (10) includes a common header (60) having piping with a discharge outlet. Each valve is connected to pressurizer nozzle (38-40) and the loader. Strut members (74) secure the header to a side wall of the pressurizer vessel. The support arrangement may be preassembled and then easily connected to the pressurizer vessel. It enables easy routine valve maintenance and lends itself to modular construction.
