PURPOSE:To increase the information processing speed by providing a heating source before an optical head and recording and erasing information with a magneto-optical disk preheated to quickly raise the temperature of a recording layer to the information recording temperature. CONSTITUTION:A heating source 4 is provided before an optical head 3 and a magneto-optical disk 1 is preheated at 100-120 deg.C. Thus, the time required for the rise of the temperature in a position, where a condensed laser light is projected from an optical head 3, on the magneto-optical disk 1 up to the Curie point is shortened and the temperature of the recording layer quickly rises to the information recording temperature, and consequently, the magneto- optical disk 1 is quickly rotated to increase the information processing speed. |
