PURPOSE:To eliminate requirement for a large sized pressure developing device for destructing an expensive optical system or microcapsules, and to permit miniaturization of an image recording device and cost reduction thereof by executing exposure of a photosensitive transfer film uniformly in order to develop a color to be developed and recording on a developing paper by destructing microcapsules selectively by heating. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive transfer medium 17 is exposed previously and uniformly to light having wavelength corresponding to the wavelength of the color to be recorded, and the transfer medium 17 is pressed selectively from above in accordance with image information by fringing the surface of the transfer medium 17 coated with the microcapsules into contact losely with the surface of a recording medium 19 coated with a developer. Thus, microcapsules having lower mechanical strength, which have not been photoset by the exposure are collapsed. A dye precursor material in the microcapsules is flowed out and reacts with the developer on the recording medium 19, providing thus a recorded image of a desired color. By this constitution, an image recording device is miniaturized and the cost for the device is reduced. |
