PURPOSE:To ensure the smooth display of magnified continuous pictures by using effectively an overlay memory having the display priority to an image memory of a picture display device. CONSTITUTION:In a preparatory process the plural continuous picture data divided into groups are transferred to an image memory 18 and an overlay memory 16 contained in a picture display device 12. Then the device 12 performs the independent display of the magnified continuous pictures against a picture controller 10 by means of both memories 16 and 18. In such a way, the first transfer process of the picture data is displayed on a screen to the memory 18 in the preparatory process with no display of other transfer processes. Thus the smooth display is ensured for the magnified continuous pictures. |
