PURPOSE:To obtain a prophylactic and remedy for fish streptococcal infections free from resistant microorganisms and side-effects, without adverse effects on human bodies by the residue, using specific herbs. CONSTITUTION:One or more herbs selected from the group consisting of DAIOU (Rhei Rhizoma), OUREN (Coptidis rhizoma), OUBAKU (Phellodendri cortex), KOUBOKU (Magnoliae cortex), YOMOGI (Artemisiae argyi folium), GENNOSHOUKO (Geranii herba), KUJIN (Sophorae radix), ENMEISOU (Isodonis herba), hop, TANJIN (Salviae miltiorrhizae radix), and KANZOU (Glycyrrhizae radix) are extracted with an organic solvent such as methanol, a mixture thereof with water or water to obtain essence. The essence is used directly or together with feed or in the form of a preparation. The dose is 0.001mg-100g/kg body weight/day, based on the bulk.
