发明名称 ULTRASONIC OBLIQUE ANGLE PROBE
摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance S/W, by providing transmitting and receiving wedges having angles for allowing an ultrasonic wave of a longitudinal wave mode to propagate through a material to be inspected in an oblique direction and further providing a high density damper material to the back surface of a vibrator. CONSTITUTION:In an ultrasonic oblique angle probe, transmitting and receiving wedges 2a, 2b are provided so that the mode of the ultrasonic wave propagating through a material 6 to be inspected becomes a longitudinal wave mode. Because of this, the multiple reflected wave of the ultrasonic wave becomes easy to generate between the surface brought into contact with the material 6 to be inspected to the wedge 2a and a transmitting vibrator 3a and an insensitive zone is made large. Therefore, in order to reduce the insensitive zone, the wedges 2a, 2b are exclusively provided and, further, an acoustic shield material 9 composed of a cork material is provided between the wedges 2a, 2b. By this constitution, the ultrasonic wave of the longitudinal wave mode propagating through the material 6 to be inspected in an oblique direction can be effectively generated. Since a damper material 8 having high density (10g/cm<3> or more) mainly composed of a tungsten powder is added to the back surfaces of the vibrators 3a, 3b, an ultrasonic wave short in a pulse vibration continuing time can be generated.
