PURPOSE:To improve the bending resistance and the workability by constituting the titled optical fiber so that the transmission light quantity, the winding transmission light quantity and the winding recovery light quantity of light can satisfy a specific relation. CONSTITUTION:When the transmission light quantity of a light beam at the time when parallel rays of 650nm wavelength are made incident from one end of the optical fiber and have been emitted from the other end, the winding transmission light quantity at the time when the transmission light quantity has been measured in the same way in a state that this optical fiber has been wound 100 times to a mandrel of 10mm diameter, and the winding recovery light quantity at the time when the transmission light quantity has been measured in the same way after having unwound said winding are denoted as Io, Ia and Ib, respectively, the light quantities Io, Ia and Ib satisfy a relation of inequalities I, II. In such a way, the excellent bending resistance and workability can be obtained. |
