PURPOSE: To realize a high efficiency drier by providing a microwave heater for radiating a microwave and far infrared heaters, for radiating far infrared rays on a heating zone for heating formed cotton composed of polyester cotton and urethane binder. CONSTITUTION: A microwave heater 17 generates a microwave radiated on a formed cotton A having a moisture content of 5-10% after steam curing, resulting in a great temp. difference between the surface and interior temps. of the cotton A as its temp. rapidly rises from the interior. A heater 15 having far infrared heaters 18, 19 for rapidly heating the surface layer of the cotton A with far infrared rays to rapidly evaporate the contained water emerged by the microwave heat at the cotton A surface layer being held at the same temp. as the interior temp. This quickly removes the water contained in the cotton cured with steam and uniformly heats the interior and surface layer of the cotton, thereby effectively realizing the strain relief drying. |
