The invention provides a storehouse suitable for storing and preserving fruits and vegitables of high water contents over the period of humid summer and autumn. In the construction of an ordinary above-ground storehouse with earth floor, the wall with a door and the opposite wall to the door are solidly constructed but the other two sidewalls are constructed of prefabricated members removable for ventilation of air during the humid season. The opened walls each having wire mesh screens agaist intruding animals.
