WATER LUBRICATED ELASTOMERIC SLEEVE BEARING

摘要

An elastomeric sleeve bearing is described having no longitudinal grooves in the load-bearing surface thereof, while having grooves adjacent the load-bearing surface to serve as entry channels for developing a hydrodynamic film in the load sector. This bearing with no grooves in the load-bearing surface exhibits lower friction forces than does a bearing with the usual grooves in the load-bearing surface.
