PURPOSE:To enable a picture or a pattern which is smoothly continued to be realized by eliminating a stripe pattern which is generated in reciprocative recording, by arranging at least one printing head among a plurality of printing heads by shifting it by an interval equal to a transfer pitch of recording paper. CONSTITUTION:Respective printing heads 11-14 are arranged at the same interval as a pitch of feeding recording paper at turn-back points on both sides of reciprocative scan. When recording is started, recording is performed only with a printing head 11. Other printing heads 12-14 do not record, and the head 11 records a line group A. When recording on a forward path ends, the recording paper is transferred by one pitch, and recording on a reverse path is started. On the reverse path, the head 11 records the following line group B, and the head 12 records by duplicate writing on the line group A on which the head 11 has previously recorded. When the recording on the reverse path has ended and the recording on the forward path is performed again, the head 11 records a line group C, the head 12 records the line group B, and the head 13 records the line group A. By this method, duplicating order of ink on all the recorded paper becomes the same. |
