PURPOSE:To enhance drivability by actuating control force adjusting means so as to give predetermined resistance to controlling a steering wheel through one-way clutches, when a steering angle increases to a predetermined value or more in the time of steering in accordance with a car speed with a rear wheel immediately before slipping. CONSTITUTION:Arranging two outer cylinders 4a, 4b around a pinion shaft 21 in a steering gear mechanism, one way clutches C1, C2, mutually connected in rotation of opposite direction, are set up between the pinion shaft 21 and each outer cylinder 4a, 4b. Control force adjusting means 5a, 5b are built around each outer cylinder 4a, 4b. Each control force adjusting means 5a, 5b is constituted so as to urge plungers 55, 57 to a side of the pinion shaft 21 and give it resistance force by pressure oil introduced via a flow path selector valve 7 when a return passage 66 is closed by energizing a solenoid 61 of a solenoid valve 6, and the solenoid valve 6 is controlled by a controller 8 being based on an output of each detector 8a-8c of car speed, steering angle and turning direction. |
