FOOD CASING OF FLAT STOCK FIBROUS CELLULOSE CONTAINING ANY PLASTICIZER OF LOW LEVEL

PURPOSE: To obtain flat stock fibrous cellulosic food casing having a small basis weight of paper and keeping bursting strength comparable to that of casing contg. a high level plasticizer by incorporating a specified percentage of a plasticizer contg. a certain amt. of polyol. CONSTITUTION: This food casing contains 10-17wt.%, preferably 11-15wt.% one or more kinds of plasticizers each contg. >=9wt.% polyol. The plasticizers are preferably water-soluble and it is preferable that one or more kinds of polyols are further contained as a single plasticizer in this casing.
