PURPOSE:To reduce the number of re-transmission processings due to an error on a line, by providing an (identification field) to invalidate/validate an information field, and identifying the information field being designated as the error before a transmission origin. CONSTITUTION:The (identification field) is provided at the end of information of packet level. When the error is generated on an input connection line, the (identification field) of the said packet information is set as (invalid), then, the transmission of an information frame is completed. In case of receiving the packet information set as (invalid) by the identification field correctly, or not starting up the transmission of the packet information, it is deleted. In such a way, it is possible to prevent a quantity of traffic from being increased due to the re-transmission processing and to provide a packet switching system with high activity ratio of line.
