PURPOSE:To improve a performance of capturing leukocytes by constituting a filter with a porous body composed of polyvinyl formal, which has a three dimensionally continuous network structure with continuous open pores of an average diameter of 5-60mum. CONSTITUTION:An average pore diameter of a porous body 5 composed of polyvinyl formal, which has a three dimensionally continuous network structure with continuous open pores, is specified to be 5-60mum, and this porous body 5 is supported with supporting members 6a, 6b in a housing 4 which constitutes a filter 1 for separating leukocytes. Leukocytes are removed by the porous body 5 from a liquid of concentrated erythrocytes flowing into the filter 1 by way of a blood flow inlet 2, and a liquid containing highly pure erythrocytes is recovered out of a blood flow outlet 3. |
