PURPOSE: To provide a speedometer mounting structure for small vehicle of such a configuration that a bar handle is covered with a handle cover split up and down whereby the installing works, etc., of the upper and lower cover halves are facilitated by fixing a speedometer to the lower cover half while it remains non-fixed with respect to the upper cover half. CONSTITUTION: A handle cover 4 of a scooter is formed in a split structure into an upper coevr half 4t and lower cover half 4b made of a resin material, and the rear bottom of the lower cover half 4b is fixed by screw 9 to a bracket 8 structured in a single piece with a steering shaft 7. The bottom parts on the left and right are fixed by screw to bracket welded to the bar handle 1. The upper cover half 4t is attached to the lower cover half 4b, and they are fastened by screws at joining points. For mounting a speedometer 13 on the handle cover 4, flanges 13a are provided on the speedometer 13 on its left and reight sides and secured by screws 16 to a mounting part 15 protruding up from the bottom surface of the lower cover half 4b. |
