The contactor comprises an electric contact 5 with short travel, the break and/or make control of which is carried out from means providing a control datum, via an elastically deformable diaphragm 4 capable of occupying two oppositely directed domed positions. The diaphragm 4 is held, by its periphery, between two annular seals 10, 11 of flexible material mounted inside a housing 12 made in the body 1 of the contactor. Application to the production of a "pressure switch", the control datum being provided by the pressure of a fluid admitted towards the diaphragm 4 through a passage 3. <IMAGE>
