The invention concerns the equipping of an internal door to ensure the safety of the fingers of a hand inadvertently put into the rebate of the frame and squeezed when the door is unexpectedly shut. The protection equipment is characterised by two totally distinct units, on the hinge side and on the lock side. Hinge side: a preformed rigid plate 6 forming a hinged shutter 7 mounted on a vertical frame 11 held under pressure by a spring 15 and axis 13 and constantly bearing on the door leaf 9. Lock side: stuck to the rebate of the frame, a strip of foam rubber or other elastic material 10A. For metal frames in which a housing is not provided the strip is stuck to the door leaf 19. As a variation the safety equipment comprises only strips of foam rubber or other elastic material (hinge side: two strips opposite each other; lock side: in the rebate). <IMAGE>
