PURPOSE:To improve reliability on regulation of a swirl, by a method wherein an air passage is formed in a position below an intake air port, a bypass pas sage connected to the air passage is formed in the floor part of an air chamber, and an on-off valve is situated on the branch upper stream of the bypass pas sage. CONSTITUTION:An air passage 4 is formed at a position below an intake air port 2, and a bypass passage 9 connected to the air passage 4 is formed in the floor part of an air chamber 7a. An on-off valve 15 is situated in the branch upper stream of the bypass passage 9. With the on-off valve 15 opened, a part of intake air bypasses to the air passage, a suction valve in which is opened, and the strength of an intake air swirl is weakened. Since the strength of an intake air swirl can be regulated through a single on-off valve, this constitution enables improvement of reliability in regulation. |
