PURPOSE:To easily allow superplasticity to appear and to improve hot workability, by subjecting an Ni-base alloy having a specific composition containing Ni, Cr, and Al to cold working or warm working at a high draft prior to hot working. CONSTITUTION:A precipitation hardening-type Ni-base alloy containing 58-72% Ni, 25-35% Cr, and 3.0-7.0% Al and having high corrosion resistance is subjected, prior to hot working, to cold working or warm working or both of the above at >=35% draft. By this procedure, superplasticity is allowed to appear in the above alloy at the time of the succeeding hot working at 800-1,000 deg.C at a rate of strain in the range of 10<-5>S<-1>-<10<0>S<-1>. By this method, the manufacturing costs of the above alloy can be reduced, and further, the variety of design due to superior transfer characteristics and diffusion joining characteristics can be provided. |
