PURPOSE:To accelerate the durability test of a disk in a short time and, simultaneously, to obtain data with a reliability by dropping a head at prescribed acceleration and frequency onto the recording surface of the floppy disk rotated at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:A floppy disk 1 is rotated at the high speed, and a head 3 is repeatedly dropped at the prescribed acceleration and frequency onto the recording surface. The damage of a disk 1 surface due to the impact load is observed, and the accelerated durability is evaluated. Namely, since even at the time of the actual use of the floppy disk 1, the damage of the disk is generated at the time of loading the head 3 in many cases, by dropping the head 3 onto the disk 1 positively in such a way, an evaluation having a correlation with an actual lifetime can be obtained in the short time. |
