9-Halogen-(1)-prostane derivatives of the formula I <IMAGE> where Z is the radical <IMAGE> or <IMAGE> Hal is a chloride or fluorine atom in the α or β, R1 is the radical CH2OH or -C-OR2, where R2 denotes a hydrogen atom, an alkyl radical, a cycloalkyl radical, an aryl radical or a heterocyclic radical, or R1 is the radical -C-NHR3, where R3 denotes an acid radical or the radical R2, and A is a -CH2-CH2-, a trans-CH=CH or a -C=C- group, W is a free or functionally transformed hydroxymethylene group or a free or functionally transformed <IMAGE> group, with it being possible for the OH groups to be in the α or β position, D and E are together a direct linkage, or D is a straight-chain alkylene group having 1-10 C atoms, a branched alkylene group having 2-10 C atoms or an annular alkylene group having 3-10 C atoms which can optionally be substituted by fluorine atoms, and E is an oxygen or sulphur atom, a direct linkage, a -C=C- bond or a -CR6=CR7-group, where R6 and R7 are different and denote a hydrogen atom, a chlorine atom or a C1-C4- alkyl group, R4 is a free or functionally transformed hydroxyl group, R5 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a halogen- substituted alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an optionally substituted aryl group or a heterocyclic group, and if R2 denotes a hydrogen atom, their salts with physiologically utilisable bases and their cyclodextrin chlathrates, a process for preparing them, and their pharmaceutical use.
