<p>PURPOSE:To shorten a time required for initialization by constituting a control register of a non-volatile memory. CONSTITUTION:The control register for setting the operation mode of an LSI 24 is constituted by using the non-volatile memory such as an EPROM (Erasable Programmable ROM) or an EEPROM (Electric Erasable Programmable ROM), etc. Namely, if these contents of the control register 2 is set previously before the LSI 24 is assembled in a system, the initialization of the control register comes unnecessary, and a program for the initialization comes unnecessary as well. Thus, the time required for the initialization is curtailed, and the responding speed of the system is improved. Besides, since the control register can be set only at the time of shipping from a factory and can not be reset by a user, the kind of the LSI can be changed, and the same integrated circuit can be made to correspond to the LSI of other kind as well.</p> |
