PURPOSE:To contrive the reduction of the time transferring from gate drive to the on-state, by providing a variable constant current output circuit composed of a detection circuit section of a constant current output, a current control circuit section, and a current mirror circuit section to a gate driving circuit having a constant current characteristic. CONSTITUTION:Since an on-delay time t0 of gate driving by the PN junction capacitance of a semiconductor switch element 1 is inversely proportional to a constant current output l0, the constant current output l0 has only to be increased to reduce the delay time t0. Then the constant current output not flowing to the gate is detected by a detection circuit section 23 and the output of the current control circuit section 24 is used as the source input and the mirror output of the current mirror circuit section 25 is fed to the constant current output l0. Thus, when the impedance connecting to one of terminals from which a main current of the semiconductor switch element flows is lower, the constant current output l0 is increased transiently. Thus, the on-delay time t0 is shortened. |
