PURPOSE:To improve the locating accuracy of a servo head by giving optimum bevel angles to both the electromagnetic converting characteristic of a data head and the locating characteristic of the servo head. CONSTITUTION:Bevel angles 3 which are the center track preparing angles of a data head 8 and a servo head 9 are set at different angles, respectively. Namely, by dividing the bevel angles 3 to prepare the center track of the data head 8 and the servo head 9 so as to be for the data head and for the servo head, the electromagnetic converting characteristic and the locating characteristic are made optimum. Thus, a magnetic disk device excellent in a phase margin and an off-track margin can be obtained. |
