The invention relates to an installation for emitting ultraviolet light, comprising a framework 100 supporting a set of lamps 200 arranged as a ceiling lamp. Each lamp can emit a homogeneous beam with two slight degrees of divergence in two perpendicular planes, the lamps being arranged so that their beams intersect expediently. A volume of use is thus defined in which the intensity of the radiation is homogeneous both in height and in width. Preferably, the lamps are square and arranged in staggered rows, the beam having, at ground level, the shape of a rectangle with length equal to twice the width, and for two lamps which touch at one corner, the rectangles have their long axes perpendicular.
