PURPOSE:To ensure favorable light resistance, oil resistance and preservability, by producing a color developer sheet for pressure-sensitive recording through coating a base with an electron-donative color forming compound and an electron-acceptive color developer consisting of a nickel salt of a salicylic acid derivative. CONSTITUTION:An electron-donative color forming compound, a nickel salt of a salicylic acid derivative as an electron-acceptive color developer and, optionally, an inonic or nonionic surfactant are mechanically dispersed by a ball mill or the like to prepare a coating liquid. A binder is added to the coating liquid, and the resultant coating liquid is applied to a base such as a paper and a plastic sheet, followed by drying to produce a color developer sheet for pressure-sensitive recording. The salicylic acid derivative preferably has a substituent group, e.g., an alkyl, aryl or aralkyl, at 3-position or 5-position. |
