PURPOSE: To make high current high characteristic driving capable in high impedance, high voltage and short-circuit, by providing an energy control circuit, and forcedly consuming total energy through a resonance circuit placed in a resonance condition always by self synchronization. CONSTITUTION: DC power is supplied through an electromagnetic obstruction filter circuit 10 and a DC power source of a AC-DC converter 11, when a transistor(TR) 41 of a switching circuit 12, switching controlled by a synchronizer circuit 15 when zero current is detected, is turned on, a current flows through capacitors 42, 43 of an energy control circuit 16. The current, in its front half of the half period, flows in a diode 31 of the converter 11, to be returned to a negative side of the DC power source via the capacitor 42, TR41, the latter half part is circulated, to be drawn out from the power source. In the next half period, similarly through a TR43, a resonance circuit 13 supplying power to a load 14 of discharge lamp or the like is always placed in a resonance condition, total impedance of a reactance element of a series circuit is canceled, total energy is used, a high current high characteristic power source is provided in high impedance, high voltage and short-circuit. |
