PURPOSE:To shorten the initial program loading IPL time by reporting the ready state of a fixed disk device to a service processor SVP from a channel controller and using a ready interruption produced by said report of the ready state of the fixed disk device to carry out the IPL via the SVP. CONSTITUTION:An information processor consists of an (SVP) 1, a channel controller (CHC) 2, a central process unit (CPU) 3, a main memory (MEM) 4, and fixed disk devices 5 and 6. When the device 5 is under a ready state after application of a system power supply, this ready state is reported to the SVP 1 from the CHC 2. Then the IPL is carried out by the SVP 1 with a ready interruption produced by said report of the ready state of the device 5. Thus the IPL waiting time is shortened. |
