PURPOSE:To supply toner through easy operation by putting a toner supply means in operation while a switch which operates in response to the opening and closing of a cover and a toner concentration detecting means detects toner concentration smaller than a constant value. CONSTITUTION:When the toner concentration decreases to a fixed value or less, the toner concentration in a developer chamber is detected by a toner concentration detecting means to inform a fact that the toner in a supply means is all used to an operator. When the cover 16 is closed after toner is supplied, the switch 19 which responds to the opening and closing of the cover 16 operates. Namely, when the cover opened or closed once while the toner concentration detecting means detects the toner concentration smaller than the fixed value, an operating means operates toner supply means. The toner supply means supplies toner stored in a toner hopper into the developer chamber correspondingly. |
