This installation comprises a straightening slab 2 whose front end is mounted on legs and whose back end is associated with a lift 10. The back end of this straightening slab is equipped with removable ramps 16 as well as with removable platforms 17 extending them. On the upper face of the straightening slab there is mounted, so that it can move longitudinally between the platforms 17 and the front end, a carriage 27 intended to receive the front axle assembly of the vehicle.
