The vehicle comprises a body (1) open at the top, and including seats with reclining backs (7). Said backs are fixed to the internal face of the doors (28a, 28b) thereby allowing, with an extensible table (32), to sealingly close the top of the vehicle. The windshield (9), held at the bottom by a block (21), remains in an operating position or, on the contrary, is tilted with the block (21) about an axis (38) to bear on the seating portion (6) of the front seats, whereafter the front door (28a) and a table (32) may be closed to the windshield. A completely planar top is thereby obtained and may be used as a loading floor. The vehicle may then be telecontrolled at low speed to manipulate bulky loads.
