PURPOSE: To automatically control the operation of an apparatus drive mechanism by generating output signals for controlling this mechanism and continuously monitoring received signals and output signals, using a computer. CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer 22 is programmed to control and monitor the operation of a hank forming apparatus, and receives input information from a tachometer 12, counter 18, tachometer 19, wire gage monitor 21 and wire throughput monitor. To control the operation of an associated wire winder during the use, the computer 22 receives instructions and instructing signals fed from other computers, controls monitors 11, 17, 18A, generates output signals for driving guides 20 and continuously monitors the received signals and output signals, thus automatically controlling the operation of the hank apparatus. |
