An electrical connector (1, 2) for connecting electrical wires (3, 4) has an electrically conductive layer (13, 23) made of easily plastically deformable metallic material formed on a surface of the crimping portion (12, 22) of the connector, and the crimping portion with such a layer is bent inwardly so as to hold firmly the electric wire inserted into the inwardly bent crimping portion by means of the electrically conductive metallic layer. The plastically deformable material may be solder and the contacts may be made of brass. <IMAGE>
