The invention makes available an internal-gear pump which comprises a housing and a cover, which bound a pump chamber in which an internal gear and an external gear meshing with the same for its drive are arranged, a fixed insert being provided between the internal gear and the external gear and forming, together with the teeth of the internal and external gear, delivery cavities. In the sliding surface of the housing there is formed a first oil pocket opposite an intake channel formed in the cover, and a further first oil pocket is provided in the cover opposite an ejection channel formed in the housing. This internal-gear pump is distinguished in that at least one second oil pocket is provided in the sliding surface of the housing and/or in the sliding surface of the cover at a point between the side wall of the pump chamber and the fixed insert, over which the internal gear slides. Furthermore, preferably three oil pockets are arranged in the region of the sliding surfaces of the external gear in the housing and/or in the cover.
