The test tube drawing syringe (RZ) represents an ergonomic simplification of the conventional piston syringes and test tubes for sampling of blood in patients, as well as a material saving of about 50% as compared to the conventional piston syringe. The combination of test tube and barrel to form a functional blood sampling and processing unit makes it superfluous to transfer blood from the syringe because it is necessarily transferred into the test tube when the RZ is held upright. The functional principle is a barrel (2) and a test tube (3), the test tube being moved with a gasket (6) in the direction of the catch (7) of the barrel (2), and this leads to generation of a reduced pressure and hence to aspiration of blood through the tip (1) when the cannula lies inside the vein or artery. The aspirated volume depends on the dimensions of the components and on the installation of the catch (7). The RZ can assume any position during the blood sampling procedure. By varying the test tube (3) the blood obtained can be put to different uses. By putting on a sealing stopper (9) with an intended breaking point at the upper rim of the test tube, chemicals can be stored for a long time inside the test tube before the RZ is used in order to be admixed with the blood during the sampling procedure.
