PURPOSE:To obtain an industrial germicide, containing a specific halogenated aliphatic nitroalcohol and specific isophthalonitrile compound as active ingredients and having excellent germicidal action and wide application range regardless of the species of noxious microorganisms. CONSTITUTION:An industrial germicide, obtained by blending (A) a compound expressed by formula I (R<1> and R<2> are H, halogen or alkyl which may have a substituent group; X is halogen) with (B) a compound expressed by formula II (Y is halogen or H; Z is halogen or alkoxy except when Z is F and Y is Cl) as active ingredients at 1/10-10/1, preferably 1/5-5/1 weight ratio, capable of exhibiting excellent germicidal action unpredictable from the respective components alone at all by utilizing synergistic effects of both, having a wide range of application to noxious microorganisms, such as molds, bacteria or yeasts, regardless of the species thereof and especially suitably used in industrial water systems for producing paper pulp. |
