Singling and feed apparatus

A singling and feed apparatus for bar material, which serves, in particular, to introduce curved and jumbled rods into a straightening machine, comprises a row of components arranged on two carrier bodies or positioned in front of the latter. In particular, these components include a first singling unit in which a row of sawtooth-shaped stops form a support surface for the bar material and cooperates with a lifter, a funnel-shaped arrangement which opens out in a chute formed by the vertical bounding surfaces of the two carrier bodies, and a transverse slide. Furthermore, a movable gripping and positioning unit is arranged in front of the carrier bodies whose mutual distance is variable.
